Bhajans

Gita Parayanam
Regular chanting and study of the Bhagavad Gita, the timeless scripture that forms the foundation of Chinmaya Mission's teachings.
Bala Vihar
Weekly sessions for children aged 5 to 18, imparting lessons on Hindu culture, values, and philosophy in an engaging manner.
Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK)
A youth wing for individuals aged 18 to 30, focusing on harnessing youth potential through dynamic spirituality.
Spiritual & Cultural Celebrations
• • •All festivals are celebrated in the Ashram in a traditional way with special activities to create interest and reverence towards our culture. Children participate in all events with great enthusiasm, making every celebration colourful and spectacular.
Bhoomi Pooja Day (Feb 8)
Commemorating Pujya Gurudev blessing the barren land with water on 8th Feb 1982. Ashramites participate in a procession with Gurudev's Padukas and perform Paduka Pooja near the "Chinmaya Smaaraka Sthoopam."
Maha Sivaratri
Special poojas to Sree Aranyeswara (Siva Lingam) starting with Sahasra Bilvarchana, Mahannyasa Poorvaka Rudrabhishekam, and Rudra Homam. At night, Maha Parthivalingeswara Pooja is performed with nearly 1000 lingas made of Panchagavya and ant-hill mud.
Ugadi & SeetaRama Kalyanam
Starting with Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, 9 days of Vasantha Nava Ratri Poojas are performed to Lord Seetha Ramachandraji. On the 9th day, SeethaRama Kalyanam is organized followed by a procession in the village with singing and dancing.
Mataji's Aradhana
On Pujya Mataji's Maha Samadhi day, Bhoo-Pradakshina to the entire 24-acre Ashram is conducted. Children, disciples, and devotees participate singing Namasankeertana and offering coconuts, followed by Paduka Pooja and Annadanam.
Mataji's Jayanthi (Nov 5)
Devotees come from different places and participate in bhajans and Naama Sankeertanam. Paduka Pooja is performed and Annadanam is offered to nearly 1,200 people.
Gurudev's Jayanthi & Aradhana
Both days are celebrated in devotion with Paduka procession and Pooja, honouring the life and teachings of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda.
Guru Poornima
On Vyasa Poornima, Pooja is performed to the entire Guru Parampara and all the traditional Gurus of our country, honouring the sacred teacher-student lineage.
Krishnashtami
Panchamrita Abhishekam at Lord Krishna's temple, Akhanda Nama Japam through the day, Gokula-style dances and kolatam at night, Geeta Chanting and Sahasranama Parayanam, with midnight pooja concluding with Prasadam distribution.
Ganesh Jayanthi
Eco-friendly celebration where children prepare Lord Ganesh's murti with mud, decorated only with turmeric and kumkum (no paints or plastic). After two days of pooja, a procession leads to immersion in the Ashram's own pool.
Vara Lakshmi Vratam
Saamoohika (community) Varalakshmi Vratam organized to inculcate devotion among village women folk. Villagers participate with devotion and pray for the well-being of all.
Kartheeka Mahannyasaam & Jyotirlinga Pooja
Mahannyasa Poorvaka Rudrabhishekam on the third Monday of Kartheeka month. On Kartheeka Poornima, Damodara Pooja and Vana Bhojanam under the gooseberry tree. Children light Kartheeka Deepam on the hillock adjacent to the Ashram.
Tapovan Jayanthi / Geeta Jayanthi
Pooja performed at the altar of Parama Gurudev, Swami Tapovan Maharaj in the Tapovan Dhyana Mandir. All Ashramites participate in this celebration of the divine message of the Bhagavad Gita.
Sankranthi (3-day festival)
Day 1: Bhogi fire lit with a prayer to destroy ignorance, blessings on young children. Day 2: Sankranthi Lakshmi Pooja with festive lunch and sweets. Day 3: Go-Pooja to cows in the cattle shed, boys decorate bulls with flowers and balloons.
Balavihar Camp
Annual camp for children with exposure to Indian Culture, Traditions, Moral Values, Yoga, and trekking through stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata, activities, games, and puzzles. Camp ends with certificate distribution.
