Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda
Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda (1916–1993) was one of the most influential spiritual leaders of the 20th century. Through his dynamic exposition of Vedantic philosophy and his charismatic personality, he inspired millions worldwide to pursue a life of purpose, devotion, and service.

Blessing the Sacred Land
Pujya Gurudev's first visit to the Chinmayaranyam site was a momentous occasion. He personally selected and blessed the land near Tirupati, recognizing its spiritual potential as a place where Vedantic wisdom could flourish alongside the ancient temple traditions of the region.
Laying the Foundation
During the inauguration of the ashram, Gurudev performed the Bhoomi Puja and laid the cornerstone for the main temple and prayer hall. He shared his vision for the ashram to become a centre of spiritual education and selfless service for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Spreading the Light of Knowledge
Gurudev conducted spiritual discourses (Jnana Yagnas) at Chinmayaranyam, drawing thousands of seekers from across the region. His powerful exposition of the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads inspired many to take up the path of spiritual study and selfless action.
