The Story of Chinmayaranyam
Chinmayaranyam Ashram was established and developed by Pujya Shri Mataji Sarada Priyananda, whose vision and dedication created this sacred spiritual centre near the holy hills of Tirumala — a sanctuary for seekers and a centre for community service under Chinmaya Mission.
Mataji conducted Jnana Yagnas not only in Andhra Pradesh but also across other states during her Brahmacharini days. Through her tireless efforts, Chinmayaranyam has blossomed into a thriving ashram that combines spiritual practices with social welfare, touching countless lives in the Tirupati region and beyond.

Pujya Shri Mataji Sarada Priyananda, inspired by the teachings of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, envisioned a spiritual centre near the sacred Tirumala hills. During her Brahmacharini days, she conducted Jnana Yagnas across Andhra Pradesh and other states.
Establishment by Mataji
Mataji Sarada Priyananda formally established Chinmayaranyam Ashram with the construction of the main prayer hall and residential quarters. Daily poojas and spiritual activities commenced under her guidance.
Harihara Vidyalaya Founded
Recognizing the need for value-based education, Harihara Vidyalaya was established within the ashram campus, offering holistic education rooted in Indian culture and Vedantic values.
Expansion & Growth
The ashram expanded with new facilities including a larger temple, meditation hall, guest accommodation, and enhanced Annadanam kitchen to serve the growing number of devotees and visitors.
Community Outreach & Youth Programs
Under Mataji's guidance, Chinmayaranyam expanded with Bala Vihar (weekly sessions for children aged 5–18) and Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK) for youth aged 18–30, alongside health camps, scholarships, and increased Annadanam service.
A Beacon of Light
Today, under the continued guidance of Mataji Sarada Priyananda, Chinmayaranyam serves thousands through daily worship, Bala Vihar, CHYK, Vidyalaya education, festivals, and community service — a source of great inspiration for spiritual seekers.
